Boy. Busy year. :-)
Recovery is going well. Most of the achy bits are less achy. And my time off work has been well spent resting. Better than a vacation. :)
I recently spent Birthday money on some bits for my new-to-me violin, and have started chiseling away at learning it. I've also been plinking more on the guitar. And I finally got my linux recording workstation set up, so I can lay down some piano tracks. Eventually, I'll get a nice hardware interface and then I can add guitar, violin, and whatever else comes up. Anybody have any suggestions on a USB 2.0 or 3.0 box? Midi input? Phantom power? Two channel at least?
Been flexing the woodworking skills too. Been happy with some of what's coming out of that. I haven't really done much with it in ages, so I'm pleased it comes back to me. I wish I had space for power tools, but alas, I'm working with various hand tools to do things that those with power tools might take for granted. But it is fun. :-)
I picked up some tools and paper for doing Quilling as well. For those of you that aren't aware, quilling is an art where you take thin strips of colored paper, and coil them into various shapes, glue them next to each other, and make various artistic shapes and forms.

I used to do it when I was a kid and had been missing it lately. Not that I need yet more creative arts on the table, but what the hell. :-D
My poor cooking blog has suffered a lot as of late. Between the bread I haven't been baking, and the lack of other cooking posts, I've been a little lax. Hoping to pick that up a little. Bread especially. I miss making bread.
Overall things are going well though. Lots of little things getting done and lots of progress made. Lots more to do, but I'm looking forward to the challenge. :-)
How are you?
