I can't recall if I did a mid-year review of my annual proclamations. I seem to recall posting about my feelings about things around my way, but I don't remember if I spoke directly to my year-end posting.

Definitely a year of change. And maybe some were less subtle than others, but I think it's safe to say that those that didn't plan ahead got screwed over. Just ask BP and the residents of the Gulf :-P
Like the oil shining on the surface, I think my personal year has been one of riding the wave. Not necessarily floating aimlessly, but more of a deliberate freedom of specific direction and a stronger effort to keeping the boat afloat and less concern about the destination.
Recent months to the contrary, in general this afforded me a lot less stress, and given a few things that came around, it was well planned.
It's been like planning a stress-less timeless vacation where I say I'd like to go here, here, and here, and I make a few non-time-dependent plans regarding those things, and when I get there, I get there. I enjoy the time, live in the moment, and then move to the next destination.
In many ways it has been a year of consolidation and organization, but also one of new doors opening, and new ideas brewing, and feeling a freedom to step through those thresholds and see what lay beyond.
Still a few more months yet to see what's still in store.
Then we'll see what the whispers say for next year. :-)
