TV and stuff
Dec. 5th, 2018 07:02 am Yay! Having a little down time means getting caught up on some new tv... that is now not terribly new. G and I just tied up the latest season of Better Call Saul, which is continuing to be a wonderful series and companion to Breaking Bad. Gilligan is brilliant and I really enjoy his storytelling. G and I are also watching Man In The High Castle.. the most recent season, and after 3 seasons, we're starting to get a little bit more peak into the scifi parts of the show. The narrative aside is so damn fascinating and holds its own so well that you almost forget that they've been teasing you since the beginning about stuff that they keep not explaining. :-) I'm in no rush. But I'm enjoying how it is unfolding.
S and I have been working our way through both Stargate SG1 and Atlantis, and we've finally reached the all-Ori all the time stage in SG1. And we're rubbing up against interesting bits of the Wraith in the other. I'm looking forward to sharing the later movies with S. And perhaps trying to see if I can stomach Stargate Universe again. It... had potential... And then we can see for the prequel series that was web-only. I'm curious if they got a better streaming company on board. Also has potential as long as they don't retcon too much shit. Hate that.
On my own, I've been watching Shameless, Grey's Anatomy, and keeping up with Walking Dead. And I've also been chipping through the new Lost In Space which I really like. I need to find resources to get some Billy Mumy up in this place and bring some folks up to speed on this fascinating franchise. And of course the new movie (again, not so new) that was pretty great. I have interesting memories of watching the original via reruns on Nickelodeon way way way back in the day. Loved that show. :-)
