Solidarity through starvation
Nov. 3rd, 2010 09:25 amSo I think we had a minor break-through this morning on the kitty front.
Generally speaking, Max has either been keeping to the spare bedroom or venturing to the bed at night, and Scsi has generally roamed where she pleases but mostly hanging on the couch and the living room with occasional dashes to the bed or even spare room. So far, the spats have been minimal, and really, they aren't driven to attack each other (part of why I like keeping opposite sexes together), and they've gotten to the point where they'll turn their backs on each other which seems like significant progress. The only time there is a fuss is when they pass each other in the halls or get too close together.
I'm learning Max has quite an appetite, and at some point last night, he decided to clean both bowls of food (I feed them in two separate rooms for now), so I woke this morning to two very hungry and indignant kitties. As a result, while I was prepping their separate dishes, they both decided to yell at me together to inspire me to hurry up. And aside from a few minor hisses, both put their differences aside long enough to be within 2 feet of each other and loudly protest the emptiness of their mutual tummies. I was highly amused. :-)
So on the whole, things are progressing as expected. And as a side note, I think we've beat back the fleas. Hallelujah, praise Jeebus.
