I haz da agoneez of de feetz
Oct. 14th, 2010 06:05 pmBut it was definitely worth it.
I bussed down to downtown Seattle today and wandered around a bit. Spent a little quality time down at the Market. I picked up a yummy apple cinnamon roll from Piroshky's and enjoyed it out at the park watching the ferries come and go. Also picked up some lemon/lime salt from the little Mexican store there. Love love love that stuff, and I've been out for ages!
Then I wandered over to the waterfront by way of the Harbor Steps. They were tearing out the last bits of the Lusty Lady. Or so I was told as I stopped at the Tully's for some Pumpkin Spice love. Couple of youngins hawking Nescafe instant coffee wandered by in their little aprons and pouch sacks. Gave us all a dirty look at the cafe. :-) We were amused.
Wandered around a couple of the piers and enjoyed the view of the Sound. Headed up Western to Bell and climbed up the stairs to the skybridge and headed up Bell and zagged around to the Center, heading for the EMP/SFM.
It is a nifty place. The SFM is a little small, but has neat stuff there. I'm looking forward to the BSG exhibit later in the month. EMP I could have easily spent much more time there, if just in the lab alone. Got to realize just how uncoordinated my legs can be when I sat behind a full trap set. I think I could learn, but it would take a little bit. The guitar gallery was beautiful! Makes me want to spend more time learning. I also really enjoyed the recordings exhibit where they interview various people about their music and you get to listen and learn some of the stories behind songs and records. Could have easily spent 2 hours in that exhibit alone!
After, I trekked my butt back to the stop at 2nd and University, and headed home.
Good day. :-)
