The ad servers on instagram are getting very good at figuring me out. It's kinda impressive the stuff it throws at me. And I suppose I'm helping because I end up down rabbit holes looking at some of the things it throws my way, but the fact that it nails me so much better than any other ad experience I've ever had...
This week, I bought an Inkbox temp tattoo. I've been considering some design ideas for more permanent inking, but the ad server took me to Inkbox. They make pre-designed jagua temp tattoos. The tattoo stains your skin and can last for up to 3 weeks (kinda like henna, only dark black/blue.) Not the cheapest options, but I figure if it helps me decide if I want to do it more permanently, I'm on board. :-)
One of the other ads I remember recently was for a kickstarter for a device that allows you to scan your books or documents and turn them into e-friendly versions. Having tried to convert some older out-of-print books that I have, I am familiar with the work involved, and the rig they are selling, along with the software, makes it as easy as it can get for an individual scanning a still-bound book. Not sure I have the cash to devote to such a venture, but I appreciate that it exists.
Games... toys.. Fun stuff. :-)
