Mar. 14th, 2011 08:49 am- I may be a lowly Android user, but at least my clock is correct after this weekend. :-) Why Apple can't seem to get it right is beyond me.
- Saw Adjustment Bureau this weekend with my sweetie. Good movie. A lot of theological implications that will keep the fundamentalist Christians bitching, and the Gnostics going, "See?"
- Also got to see Great Big Sea for the first time this weekend at the Moore due to a whole other sweet person and what ultimately was a not-so-lucky set of circumstances. Nevertheless, concert was amazing, and they have garnered at least one new fan, and many more if I have my way. Go find their stuff. NOW. :-)
-Building my file server component at a time. This month? RAM to join the motherboard and processor. Hoping for a case next month. :-D By the time I get it all together, all the warranties will be gone and I may end up stuck with pieces. Good thing I'm getting them cheap!
- Email has been buzzing less which means either the USGS is getting behind on alerts or the 6 pointer and higher aftershocks have stopped in Japan. Two things get me about that, beyond the shock factor and the implications of the devastation: First, Japan has prepared quite a bit for an impending earthquake, and as such, things could have been even worse. But it is for a quake on a different fault line that has been expected to go any time now. And this quake has done nothing to change that part of it. Scary shit. And second, it reminds me, as did the Seattle Times, that when the Cascadia Subduction Zone ruptures, not only will the PNW be host to a huge quake, but we too will see the effects of a tsunami, and Russia and Japan will get to taste it as we did theirs. Mama Gaia is a rockin' and rollin'.
- And on a different note, Samsung's 10.1 Tab. It is very very pretty!
