So is talking about life. The dumpster fire doesn't get to preempt normal programming. It's important. It needs dealing with. But if it completely derails our lives also, *without* it being by our choice and for productive reason, then that is another problem also.
It's reasonable - at least I think it is - to talk about daily life. (In point of fact, I almost can't bring myself to talk about the rest of it, because I can only deal with it so much, and I'm trying to reserve that dealing for staying informed and acting.)
