Glitch du jour
Nov. 21st, 2011 03:28 pmCloser and closer we edge to December. Fortunately lately, while I've been busy, I've been calling the shots on the things that have been happening. I may not have long that I can do that, but I need to take it when I can. :-)
Recently, over the last couple of weeks, I've finally gotten around to sharing my favorite movie with two of my sweeties. That movie would be Creator. It's an odd, quirky little film, but O'Toole is fantastic, and the rest of the cast is amazing. I think my biggest reason for enjoying it above all others is the messages both of love and to not let it escape your grasp, and also to living life to the fullest since you never know when it may end. As many times as I've seen it, I still find new nuggets of truths from watching it.
The carousel is definitely starting to move again. I just recently finished another book binding project, and I've been collecting more sheet music to spend some quality time tickling the ivories. Cooking and baking on the horizon. And I have a few household repair jobs on the list to look into (local and otherwise), and I always love doing those sorts of things. That, and I may be helping to consult on a bit of a display piece that one sweetie wants to build and I offered my assistance. That should be fun. :-)
Oh... And yes... I admit it.. I bought Skyrim... :-) gods help me.
Also, apparently as these things happen, I have been informed that it is very likely that karaoke will be a part of my future. Never been one to have the balls to step up to it, and while that won't be a requirement for my participation, it intrigues me enough to think about it and consider getting over that stage fright. :-) At the very least, I've forgotten how many show tunes I know, and that alone gives me hope. :-)
In spite of the impending move, the boss is working very hard to insure that our holidays will be as unencumbered as possible. I appreciate that a lot. We've narrowed down the bulk of our craziness to one solid weekend, and while there will be bits here and there, I think if we manage to get the one weekend squared away, the rest will be relatively calm. And lots of things coming up.
The Bobs will be performing at the Triple Door on the evening of the 29th of December. I opted to take out the SO's and the OSO's.. should be a fun way to enjoy the post (or mid depending how you look at it) holiday glow, and hang out with the polycule. If you guys have never seen The Bobs, and you appreciate good comedy and a capella, I highly recommend them.
Lots of good enriching plans on the list, and I'm looking forward to those, and also what the new year will bring.
No notes this year, btw. At least unless the universe takes it upon herself to have a special chat with me before the 31st (and it wouldn't be the first time she's waited so long).
