Huzzah re: "cutting loose the burden of carrying the idea or the half-finished process," as well as moving various projects forward. Both these count as Crossing Stuff Off The To-Do List (whole projects GONE as well as sub-parts/needful bits towards larger goals). I concur re: the joy of seeing the garden grow as part of why I do it, as well as using the foodstuffs grown in the food made and consumed by me and those I care about and feed. Best wishes continuing on with this, and adding in more physical activities so you CAN continue being physical as you get older...
